The Bible speaks of two deaths: the first and the second. The first death comes at the end of each life. The Bible describes it as a sleep that only Jesus (the Resurrection and the Life) can wake us from. The second death comes at the end of the resurrected life, and it is sometimes referred to as hell or the final destruction of the lost.
