Today I walked through the woods along Otter Creek, and I saw something I’ve never seen before: a white squirrel.
For most of the last 25 years, the first snowfall of the season was also the last.

I took this picture eight days after arriving in Wisconsin. I just moved from the Pacific Northwest.
